Police frontman Sting has announced he will play
five US dates with the Royal Philharmonic Concert
Orchestra, music magazine Billboard has reported.

The tour will include reversions of a string of
Police hits, as well some of the singer's
best-known solo tracks.

It is scheduled to kick off on 2 June at
Vancouver's Centre for the Performing Arts.

He will also play California, Chicago and
Colorado, with more dates are expected to be
announced.

Tickets go on sale from 8 March.

The last time Sting played the US was in 2007, as
part of the Police's top-grossing reunion tour.

Biography
Sting, CBE (born Gordon Matthew Sumner; 2 October
1951) is a British musician, activist, actor and
philanthropist.

Prior to starting his solo career, he was the
principal songwriter, lead singer and bassist of
the rock music band The Police. As a solo musician
and member of The Police, Sting has received
sixteen Grammy Awards for his work, receiving his
first Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental
Performance in 1981, and receiving an Oscar
nomination for best song. He is a member of both
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters
Hall of Fame.
